About The Learning Curve

Gray & Associates, Inc. was established in 1988 to help promote economic and community development for rural communities in Southwest Mississippi. The organization later branched into child care, working with preschoolers and, subsequently, school-aged children. We were granted 501 (c)(3) nonprofit status in 1993. Nearly ten years later, The Learning Curve, a division of Gray & Associates, Inc., was created. Since 2003, The Supplemental Educational Service has provided after school tutorial services to schools designated in need of improvement.
Overview
• Our main goal is to help struggling students improve their overall academic performance.
• We have been registered with the Mississippi Department of Education since 2002 as a Supplemental Service Provider
under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (Public Law 107-110) .
• List of clients: Jackson Public Schools, Jefferson County School District, North Panola School District, Yazoo City
Schools, Natchez-Adams School District, Tunica County School District, Quitman County School District, and Hazlehurst
City School District.
• Services: Supplemental Services, Tutorial Assistance, Summer Camps, Private Tutoring, and Job Training.
Programs Include
• Supplemental Services: Work with students to improve Mississippi Curriculum Test scores at schools designated as
low-performing.
• Tutorial Assistance: Assists students with home-work assignments and provides reinforcement of daily classroom lessons.
• Summer Enrichment: Provides grade-level reinforcement during summer months in: Reading and Math, Summer Book
Projects, Arts and Crafts, and Technology Integration.
• Private Tutoring: Provides tutoring for students in a wide range of academic areas, including ACT Prep.
• Career Services: Licensed by the Mississippi Commission on Colleges and Proprietary Schools, offers job
training courses.
• Provider for the WIN Job Center: accepts clients approved by WIN to receive job training.
